Donation Opportunities
Friends Of the Library Kingwood (FOLK) sole purpose is to help the Kingwood Library however possible. This entails raising funds to purchase items like downloadable digital media (audio & e-books), books, DVDs, video games, equipment, and supporting the children, young adult, and adult programs. FOLK is staffed 100% by volunteers. Other than basic operating expenses, all monies collected is contributed to the library. Your donation is tax deductible and goes a long way! Below are some options on how to provide a donation.
Purchase an annual FOLK Membership starting at $20 and you will receive 15% off any purchases made in the FOLK Used Bookstore located inside the Kingwood Library. The payment form can be found under the “Membership” menu. You can donate gently used books, DVDs, and CDs by dropping them off inside the FOLK Used Bookstore. Any purchases made from the FOLK Used Bookstore also contribute to the revenue supporting the Kingwood Library. You may also volunteer at the FOLK Used Bookstore or FOLK Online Center located off Northpark. The volunteer forms are located under the “Volunteer” menu.
Donor Bookplate Recognition – Make a lasting memory or honor someone such as a family member, a friend, or special pet with books in their name. Suggested amount for a book is $30.00.
Or just donate to help fund many of the various programs that FOLK provides for the Kingwood Library.

Buy a Paver. Become immortalized forever on a brick paver on the walkway leading up to the library! Complete the “Paver Form” found here, or send in a check to our Post Office Box and mention your donation for a paver. Pavers cost $150.

The Kroger Community Rewards Program is another way to help your library. Register online at www.krogercommunityrewards.com and be a registered Kroger Plus Account holder. When registering online, edit your Kroger Account Community Rewards information by inputting your Kroger Plus account number and either selecting the Friends of the Library from the list of organizations, or entering our “NPO” number, which is 81717. Now every time you use your Kroger Plus card, FOLK wins!
Corporate Donors/ Corporate Matching Funds – Some organizations will match a donation made to a 501(c)(3) and as a result your donation may be matched at 100%. FOLK can provide you with the correct tax documents showing FOLK is a 501(c)(3) entity. Please use the “Contact Us” form found here to speak with a FOLK member.
Meeting Room – The ultimate form of a donation is to have a meeting room in the Kingwood Library named in your honor or in the honor of a loved one. If you would like to inquire about this type of donation, please contact the FOLK President using the “Contact Us” form found here.
The easiest means of making a PayPal donation is to use the “Donate Using PayPal” webpage found here. If you donate using this option, PayPal gives you the opportunity to enter a description for the contribution, and you will receive an email verifying the donation.
